PC and SteamVR headsets

PC-connected headsets use a compatible computer to render the virtual environment. They can deliver detailed graphics and access PC software libraries, but require suitable hardware, cabling or wireless streaming and more setup.

Standalone Android-based headsets

Standalone headsets contain their own processors, storage and operating system. They are easier to deploy and use, but applications must be optimised for mobile-class hardware and the restrictions of the headset platform.
