VR Headset Hardware Guide
Understanding the difference between PC-connected SteamVR systems and standalone Android-based headsets.

PC and SteamVR headsets
PC-connected headsets use a compatible computer to render the virtual environment. They can deliver detailed graphics and access PC software libraries, but require suitable hardware, cabling or wireless streaming and more setup.
Standalone Android-based headsets
Standalone headsets contain their own processors, storage and operating system. They are easier to deploy and use, but applications must be optimised for mobile-class hardware and the restrictions of the headset platform.
Controls and tracking
Headsets may provide tracked controllers, hand tracking, room-scale movement and seated or standing modes. The chosen interaction model affects usability, comfort and development complexity.
